We represent either creditors or debtors in a wide variety of situations. The following are examples of some of the services we have provided to creditors:

Debt collection and enforcement including litigation to obtain judgement and petitioning a debtor into bankruptcy to utilize remedies under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act;
Advice to creditors, including recovery of 30 day goods, secured creditor rights and attacking transactions by the debtor such as settlements, preferential payments and reviewable transactions;
Advice to secured parties on rights, remedies and priorities on enforcing security;
Advice to Trustees in Bankruptcy and Receivers on legal issues arising in bankruptcies, proposals and receiverships.
Opposition to proposals or bankruptcy discharges of bankrupts;
Advice to landlords in collecting from tenants.

We provide services to debtors as well, including the following:

Advice to insolvent debtors on filing for bankruptcy, making formal or informal proposals to creditors, and reorganizations;
Advice in structuring transactions to minimize exposure to creditors;
Assistance in defending claims of creditors and enforcement actions by creditors;
Representation at bankruptcy discharge hearings.
